The girl with Blue hair

On my train journey to work this morning, a girl got on and sat opposite me. Nothing unusual there you say. No, but it isn’t often you see a girl with bright Blue hair adorned with Red and Pink roses. Her hair looked amazing, very striking and it got me thinking ‘here is a girl who isn’t afraid to show the world who she is…a real individual’.

How often do we follow the crowd because it is easier to do so rather than strike out and be ourselves? How often do we go along with the general consensus instead of voicing our own opinion, because we fear ridicule or laughter?

We are all uniquely wonderful with differing thoughts, opinions, talents and creative traits but we don’t have enough trust or confidence in our abilities to let our true self shine.

Now whilst I’m not saying we should all go out and dye our hair Blue, what I am saying is to put a little bit of trust in yourself and start to let the real you out. You don’t have to be like everyone else, you deserve to be you.
